Prompt

Banned list ✓Beat grid ✓Build method ✓Self-review ✓
<direction> A 9-second square stats film headed THE YEAR IN NUMBERS (sample data, and the heading says so). Three stats count up in sequence — 48,200 users · 120 countries · 99.99% uptime — each rising into place with its accent underline, then all three hold together. Near-black background, white numbers, one orange accent. Banned: glows, gradients, spinning odometers, slot-machine digit rolls, decimal places the source data does not have. </direction> <structure> Beat 1: heading in. Beat 2 (per stat, staggered ~2s): the block rises 46px and fades in while its number interpolates 0 → value over ~52 frames, formatted as it counts (thousands separators, fixed decimals). Beat 3: footer line — the numbers are data in the prompt. Hold. </structure> <build> One Remotion composition, 1080x1080 square, 30fps. A stats array drives everything: value, formatter, label. Count-ups use interpolate() with clamping; each stat has its own formatter function — 48,200 formats with toLocaleString, 99.99% with toFixed(2), because one formatter for all three produces a wrong-looking number every time. </build> <gotchas> Format during the count, not after it: an unformatted 48200 mid-count reads as a different, smaller number and the film looks like it is lying. Match decimal places to the real source — inventing precision is a data bug, not a style choice. </gotchas> Before you finish: step through the timeline at five points and fix anything that overlaps, clips the frame, or drifts off the beat grid.

Three numbers count up in sequence and hold together as one frame. Sample data, labelled in the heading — swap the stats array and the whole film re-times itself.

Run log

What broke (and the fix)

  • The first render attempt died mid-run on this machine (frame 13 of 270 — a resource kill, not a composition error); the re-render completed clean at 24s. Formatters verified in the settled frame: 48,200 carries its thousands separator and 99.99% holds exactly two decimals, each stat with its own formatter function.
