<direction>
A 9-second vertical lyrics-style sync film, 1080x1920 vertical. Take WE CHASE THE LIGHT UNTIL THE MORNING COMES — eight words. Each word takes centre frame alone, slamming in on its beat (120 BPM), replacing the previous word with a near-hard cut. Underneath, the full line assembles word by word in small type — spoken words turn white, key words orange — and eight beat ticks fill in step. End card: the full line stacked in two lines. A footer states plainly that the words are original.
Banned: real song lyrics or artist names (copyright — always write an original neutral line), karaoke bouncing balls, glows, gradients, word scaling on highlight.
</direction>
<structure>
Words at 0.7s steps from 0.6s (8 words, last at 5.5s). Line assembly + ticks fire on the same beats. Outro (6.5s): big word clears. End card rises 6.7s, footer 7.3s. Hold to 9s.
</structure>
<build>
One HyperFrames composition, seek-driven GSAP. Words, line spans, and ticks are all generated in JS from one WORDS array so the three layers can never drift out of sync.
</build>
<gotchas>
Soft 0.14s crossfades between big words double-print in freeze frames — outgoing and incoming words ghost over each other. Lyric videos cut hard for a reason: exits are now 0.05s swaps, and the handoff frames are clean.
</gotchas>
Before you finish: step through the timeline at five points and fix anything that overlaps, clips the frame, or drifts off the beat grid.
Lyrics-style word sync without a song: one word at a time slams centre-frame on a beat grid while the full line assembles underneath and beat ticks fill. The words are an original neutral line written for this film — the sync technique is the deliverable, not anyone's lyrics.

What broke (and the fix)
- First snapshot caught the word handoffs double-printing: each outgoing word faded over 0.14s while the next slammed in, so stills (and freeze-frames in the render) showed two words ghosting on top of each other. Cut the exit to a near-hard 0.05s swap — the lyric-video convention — and the handoff frames are clean.
